NBC hat sich auf den Füssen geschossen…

It seems that NBC, so afraid of piracy and so fond of keeping control, is managing to do a worse job than Apple in keeping their content under control.

Hulu doesn’t allow me, a non US resident, to watch their shows but OPENhulu does. So much for copyright protection.

I think this is a major setback in their strategy of keeping content under control and is, therefore, worth mentioning. Users worldwide can now watch content stored on Hulu. And this is NBC’s own “fault”. I bet networks which are paying for exclusive rights, and content sellers that are asked to impose draconian DRM, will have something to say about it…

“Why should I put so much care in DRM if you guys don’t?” “Why should I pay a big sum of money for an exclusive right when people can watch the shows online at no cost the day they come out?”

iMat - I can’t access content on OPENhulu - keep on getting the NBC standard message: “Unfortunately, this video is not currently available in your country or region”. Seems like they already plugged that hole.
